2 Year Anniversary!!

This Wednesday was our two year Wedding Anniversary.  Time has flown by so fast!!  So much has happened in these past two years and we have had an incredible journey so far.  Can't wait for all the things are just around the corner, and the things that are years down the road.

Shower!!

Saturday was my Oregon baby shower; hosted by my amazing friend Emma, my wonderful cousin Heather, and my awesome Sister Mel.  I was so grateful to have such a beautiful and fun shower!  I was lucky enough to have my Mom in town from Colorado, my Aunt Dee in town from Arkansas, and my little Sister Brie in town from Colorado.  I felt spoiled with all the family love I got!!  The shower was beyond gorgeous and we had such a fun time!

Thank you all so much for making this day special and something I will always remember!!

The FINAL Graduation

This past Friday the 21st was my amazing Sister's graduation from Dermatology Residency at OHSU!!  Couldn't be more proud of her, or excited for her.  This day has been a long time coming, and it seems so surreal that it is finally here.  After many years, many graduations, adventures in floppy hats, sleepless nights and long days she has come to the end!  Now it is time for the new journey to begin.  In October she will start her new job in the Dalles, OR.  Such an exciting and wonderful time in her life, and I am so happy that I have gotten to watch her get to this point.  Congratulations Melinda!!

Pineapple!

What a fun and busy weekend!  Saturday morning I went and had my hair done, while Nick headed off to help his parents move into their new home in Warren, OR.  We're very excited for them and their new place.  They are in a beautiful location with a great house and a big yard.  I see many BBQ's and bocce ball sessions in our future there!

Saturday afternoon, Nick, Mindy and I were lucky enough to get to go to the Timbers game and sit in some very luxurious, catered box seats.  What a treat!  We had the perfect view of the field, we were shielded from the sun, and got free food and drinks.  It was such a blast, and the Timbers won!

Sunday we headed out to Nick's parents new place to help them with more unloading, and we also had a Father's Day BBQ.

Nick and I also worked on washing and putting away some of the baby clothes that have been donated and gifted to us so far.  We are off to a great start!

This week baby is about as big as a pineapple!  Hard to believe we are getting so close to the end.  Baby Rex will be here before we know it.

32 Weeks

We skipped our 31 one week picture because I was sick and not feeling very photogenic.  Sickness and pregnancy are just a miserable combo.  But I am finally feeling like myself again!

This weekend we had our Birthing classes at OHSU.  It was a lot of info to take in, but Nick and I are feeling much more informed and ready for what's to come.  At least we hope so. :)

We're really on the countdown now and feeling like it is time to get serious and get our stuff ready!  Time to work on the hospital bag and get the car seat installed and get baby's room all ready to go.  We have lots of awesome baby clothes to wash that were donated to us from my cousin Chelsa.  Looking forward to the busy and exciting weeks ahead!

Colorado Catch-Up

Phew!  What a busy couple of weeks it has been.  Our Colorado trip was fantastic.  We got to see everyone, and do almost everything that we had planned.  We had 2 fantastic showers that were so much fun and filled with lots of love.

We took an improvised weekly photo at my Aunt Mary Ann's house who hosted us for a couple days.

We had an AMAZING dinosaur themed baby shower thrown by my Sister Brie.  It was so much fun!  We played a Price is Right Game, and had a dino-relay.  Plus amazing food and fun times with the whole family.  A huge thank you to Brie for putting everything together, and to Dad and Jani for hosting the festivities.

The Price is Right style; guess the price game

My T-Rex Tattoo and Pregzilla t-shirt from Brie.  Rawwwrrrrr!!

A few days later a group of us met up in Loveland for a 3D ultrasound to see baby Watkins.  He was being stubborn and had his feet and arms in front of his face almost the entire time, but we still got some great shots!  He has lots and lots of hair, and definitely has my nose.  Such a cool experience!

Smiling!

We also had a shower later that day with a small group in Fort Collins.  It was a fantastic dinner shower at Canino's and Baby Rex got lots of great clothes.  Pictures to come!

Unfortunately after that, I came down with the flu.  :(  This definitely put a damper on the rest of our trip.  We still tried to do some of the things we had planned, but I was not in tip-top shape, and the Saturday right before we left we spent most of the day in the hotel sleeping.  But we still managed to get in a trip to the Denver Aquarium, and a Rapid's game.

All and all we had a wonderful trip.  Can't wait to go back next time with our little boy!
